Best Food Enterprise of the Year 2016 Identified

In 2016, Europe Foundation organized third Best Food Enterprise of the Year Competition to enhance adherence to food safety standards among food business operators in Georgia and to encourage convergence to European policies in this area. As part of the agreements with 7 participating businesses EPF selected food safety experts performed three unannounced spot-checks at each competing enterprise at various times during 2016. Samples of products produced by the companies were tested in accredited laboratories. The winner, LLC Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking, represented by Velistikhe Primary Production and Patardzeuli Winery, was identified based on the results of the lab tests and the reports drafted by the experts.
